FAQ’s
1. I have never worked out before and/or I have injuries and/or I am extremely overweight. Can I still join the boot camp?
Absolutely! Farmington Valley Boot Camp specializes in providing challenging workouts for people at any level and at the same time. A 60 year old with joint dysfunction can work side by side with a 20 year old athlete in the same group and both will be challenged at their own fitness level.
2. Will I experience muscle soreness?
Yes, the initial phase of adding Resistance Training into your exercise program will cause some muscle soreness. We provide Self Massage and Corrective Stretching Strategies before and after every session as well as a Rapid Fat Loss Blueprint to help your body recover from intense workouts.
3. How soon will I see results?
Your results will vary on your commitment to your nutrition program, 80-90% of your success will be determined by your nutrition. Clients can feel great results in as short as 1 week and see visual changes in a few weeks. In order to see maximal results you will need to adhere to your nutritional program and attend all workouts.
4. Is there a nutrition program involved?
Yes, the number one most important component of any weight loss program is NUTRITION. We provide all clients with our tried and proven Rapid Fat Loss Nutrition Program before the start of camp. Clients will also partake in a group grocery trip prior to the start of camp (date TBA at the start of every new phase/Boot Camp) where we will provide you with the tools to get started on the right track towards a complete health and fitness transformation. We also provide you with quick-start guides and cookbooks for your gender with delicious recipes that help burn body fat. You will also be given different options where we can provide more social support through phone consultations for those who feel they need the added accountability and support.
5. Isn’t cardio better for fat burning?
Cardio can be an important part of a fat loss program. Without the components of Nutrition and High Intensity Resistance Training you will not build lean muscle and thus turn your body into a fat burning machine. We provide every client with a metabolic boosting cardio program.
6. In the Boot Camp sessions will I get enough individual attention?
Yes, you will get all the motivation, guidance, instruction and support that you need. Every session has time at the end to handle individual Q & A. We are ALWAYS here to answer any questions or concerns about anything relating to our clients training, nutrition, or supplementation. Most one-on-one personal training sessions consist of the trainer and client just spending most of the time talking about their personal lives and the trainer wastes even more time counting reps.
7. Will you yell at us?
Yes, there will be yelling involved but only in a motivating and healthy manner. We don’t abuse, harass or degrade just positive reinforcement and encouragement and of course a few good jokes and fun.
8. What is your refund policy?
If you notify us prior to the camp’s start date, you will receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. If it is after a camp has started, we can only credit you for a future boot camp of the same duration. The credit is non-transferable. There are NO EXCEPTIONS here.
9. What do I bring to camp?
We do provide equipment for campers. For your first session please bring a yoga mat, towel, and water. For greater success and at home workouts on “off” days we ask that every camper make the one time investment in the Boot Camp Starter Kit to maximize the dynamic of your workouts. You can get the Boot Camp Starter Kit here

10. What do I wear to the boot camps?
Wear comfortable, soft, breathable materials. Avoid anything too baggy, as it makes it difficult to properly analyze your posture and positioning during exercise. Wear sneakers with good support, laces (not Velcro) and soles that are low to the ground (no platform-like soles). Also we ask you to please BRING A CHANGE OF SNEAKERS to workout in; this will help us to provide you with a clean exercise facility.
11. What if I can’t make a workout?
We will provide you with a Rapid Fat Loss Starter Kit at the beginning of a new phase of camp. In this kit you will find easy to follow workouts you can complete in home.
